Output Deal
businessAn agreement giving a streaming service first rights to license a studio's upcoming content as it is released.
Explanation
An output deal is a licensing agreement where a streaming platform gets the rights to all (or most of) a studio's future films and shows as they come out. Instead of negotiating title by title, the streamer pays an upfront fee for access to the studio's output over a set period. Netflix, Amazon, and Apple have all used output deals to lock in large amounts of content from major studios.
